HIDDEN feelings
Photography Project
The project is focusing on the negative emotions, such as anger, sadness, aggression and loneliness that we all experience sometimes. In a lot of cases, people have to hide them and keep to themselves, creating a "mask" that conceals them. I wanted to show these "masks" that we put on, hiding our true feelings.
My concept was based on the combination of two ideas:
— shoot portraits, using shadows to cover parts of the face
— shoot portraits in motion, showing the same face with 2 different emotions: positive and negative.
— shoot portraits in motion, showing the same face with 2 different emotions: positive and negative.
The fist idea reflects on the concept of hiding, as shadows and darkness are usually associated with it, while the second focuses on the "masks".
The location, chosen for the project is the studio, where I was able to get a plain background, that would not distract from the portraits themselves.
